Wonderful (if off-topic) video from TED
Anyone interested in visualization and statistics should watch this video from TED - www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/92. This was referred to me by a couple of very smart people and is well worth the 20 minutes. The speaker does a wonderful job of debunking some myths about the world and about the “third world” in particular. While it is not about operational decision making it does show the importance of “speaking with data” when making decisions.
